Microsoft is expected to take the wraps off its forthcoming desktop operating system on September 30. For those who were planning to watch the event at home, sad news, Microsoft won’t be live streaming it.

In a statement to WinBeta, a Microsoft spokesperson has said that the company won't be live streaming the September 30 event. "There will be no live stream of the keynote." However, it will be offering news and other content on its website after the event.

Fret not, WinBeta will be covering the event as it happens. Stay tuned to the site as we break news, and put up meaningful analysis on the site before anyone else.

Well, not offering a live stream is still better than offering a clumsy stream that just makes the world unhappy, much like what Apple did with its iPhone 6 event.
